PS Plus: PS4 PSN Store won’t download Uncharted 4 due to multiplayer bug
PS4 owners with PS Plus subscriptions got a bumper month in April – both Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally have been added to the service as we enter the new monthly cycle of games.
But players eager to download Naughty Dog's action-adventure blockbuster are already facing issues.
It seems that some users are being prevented from installing the game on their machines thanks to a bug.
PlayStation users across social media networks are reporting of issues when it comes to allowing the game to download via the PS Plus service.
Though Sony hasn't confirmed anything at the time of writing, many players are suggesting in-game currency may the cause of the game's refusal to download.
That means if you've played the game before and have accrued currency in the multiplayer part of the title, something in the game and the way PSN works may be preventing you from getting the game on your system for free (IE: validating the PS Plus download and adding it as a game you can download in the future, as long as you have PSN).
I have not been able to download the game, and I have had Uncharted 4 multiplayer currency on my account – so as far as we can see, that theory lines up.
The folks over at PushSquare seem to be having the same issue, too.
We'll keep an eye out for any Sony updates or official communication on this matter. Don't worry too much, though - you've still got the better part of a month to download and enjoy Naughty Dog's smash hit once the issue is resolved.
