Reboot Requirement: Reboot is required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.
Installation:
Please follow these steps to install some or all the AMD Catalyst components on your machine: - Save the self-extracting exe locally and run it to start the extraction and installation process
- Select the extraction folder (default is under C:\AMD) and click "Install"
- After extraction completes, choose your language on the Welcome screen and click "Next"
- Select "Install" on the next screen
- Choose between "Express" and "Custom" on the Installer Welcome screen:
- "Express" will install all the components, including Catalyst Control Center (CCC) and its dependency .NET
- "Custom" will let you unselect some components like CCC
- After the analysis completes, if you chose "Custom", you can unselect some components on the Customize Install screen
- Note that dependencies like .NET and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables cannot be manually selected or unselected
- Accept the End User License Agreement
- After the installation complete, you can review the logs
- Accept the system reboot when prompted
To uninstall some of the AMD Catalyst components from your machine, choose one of the following methods:
- Run the self-extracting exe again as previously described, and select "Uninstall"
OR - Choose "Uninstall a Program" in Control Panel, and select the AMD Catalyst Install Manager (CIM)
- Note: This method is recommended, and is the only way to completely uninstall ALL AMD components, including CIM.
Note: Any installed dependencies, such as Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables or .NET , must be manually uninstalled with the Control Panel.
