Challenging but fun

I’ve been playing this game for over a year. I enjoy it but sometimes it takes me two weeks to pass a level. I figured out it’s more about strategy more than anything. I give this game a 4 mainly because I like it. When I started it showed something else like fires being put out with different objects or the water line breaking and you had to fix it with a certain tool. I’ve never seen any of that and I wonder now that I’ve gotten to an Island what the objective here is? Is it just always fixing up a mansion and decorating it? I’ll continue to play to find out. When the updates come I’ve noticed that it’s either on the day or week later if the holiday. Like today, there was an update for Thanksgiving and it’s Thanksgiving Day. So only leaves the day to play on the Thanksgiving Day special.
I do wish there was a way to continue playing without paying because sometimes I’m just a play away to complete a level so that’s frustrating. It’s getting harder for me to find iTunes cards where I live to add money so I can pass levels like that. Maybe earn an extra play for every 5 levels you pass and not consecutively because it’s difficult at times to do that. I play everyday on my free time, which I have a lot of but I’d like to see something entertaining and exciting every now and then.

Frustrating

I’ve been playing for a looong time & I enjoy it BUTit takes long to refill lives, you don’t get rewards that are equivalent to difficulty and you can spend days trying to pass difficult levels which tend to piggy back each other. You can have a streak where you pass multiple levels in a row then get stuck for close to a week if you’re not willing to cough up some cash to buy your way out. No matter what you do, you end with one piece on the puzzle board so you can’t move on. The special rooms are nearly impossible to finish, as are the coloring pages, they ALWAYS time out before completion and at that point you’re locked out of them, never regaining access to finish. They added some “bonus” cleanup coin gaining mice, smiles & bells. These have been glitchy for over a week randomly floating across my screen, no longer clickable, just in the way. All in all it’s a fun game but I really hate it sometimes. Don’t even get me started on the “comic pages” just a waste of effort & time, has anyone finished a series, ever!?!? I honestly think of deleting this every few weeks, I get so annoyed with it. It could be really fun, decent storyline, silly characters and lots of variety. It does hit a lot of game interests but it’s getting to the point where the balance of competition vs payoff isn’t rewarding as much as it could be. I deleted another game for the same reason months ago, this may be in for the same fate.

Fun cute and entertaining however NOT perfect

I have been playing this game for years started as a fun task to earn gems on a game for my son while he was away at camp. My son and I love playing the scenes together. The characters are cute and well scripted for their personalities. The events are fun but TOO SHORT We have been DISAPPOINTED TWICE now because a special event room has closed before we could finish it one time it LITERALLY closed as I was working the game and had ONE piece of furniture left to finish game designers said they would have an event to reopen unfinished specials have seen NOTHING as such so far during the event have spent ALOT of money trying to finish because it’s so FAST and seems those purple HARD LEVELS come more and more as you truly progress in the game maybe make true to their word? Have a special to reopen those extras? Love the game enjoy it with my son but how about making it fair and extending the specials time a bit? Other games I play have special events and they last WAY WAY longer ONLY FIVE DAYS seems short when the levels take so much time to pass and you only get five turns without having to PAY please consider making an event to reopen I am giving four stars because it IS fun just too hard to make the grade sometimes
