Unable to download files from FileZilla

I've been using FileZilla for 2 years.
Just this week, I tried downloading some files but wasn't able to (the download option is greyed out).
Was wondering what I should do in order to fix it.

Look into which local directory you are trying to download into. The download option is greyed out when the local directory cannot be written to.

I tried going to the settings but wasn't successful in changing the directory.
Could you direct me to how I should go about changing the settings?

It's not a setting. You change directories (or ''folders'', as Microsofties may call them) directly in the file lists or in the directory tree above.

I tried changing directories (ie. creating a new directory, etc.) but the download function is still greyed out. It is an html file I am trying to download.
