I know I can manually install drivers. But GeForce Experience now gives me Driver Download Failed right after downloading progress becomes %. The problem lies with the GeForce Experience console which I don't know what it is, so rather than wasting more time let's see how to manually update Nvidia. Update Nvidia Graphics Card Driver. manually downloading Nvidia drivers. Just learn to update drivers and manage settings on your own. This is a super annoying problem. The nvidia drivers will not install on my son's new PC build.

He installed a Gigabit Nvidia , but the drivers are not incorporating.

Without the drivers the system is glitchy, freezing every few minutes for a minute.

I have been searching for solutions and so far nothing has solved the problem.

I am using the current release of windows

I do not have another PC to test the card with so that trick is not available.

I have tried the latest release of windows 10 and earlier releases of windows 10 too. Thinking about installing Ubuntu next just to prove the video card works.

I do have the correct drivers. I used Nvidia experience download them.

I tried both PCIe slots. The power supply is correct.

Messed with RAM timing, but it is not on the default settings.

Newegg tech support was not helpful. 

Gigabit is hard to reach.

So spiceheads what ideas do you have?

I had the same issue with my Windows 10 Home x64 computer. The only thing that resolved the issues was to manually install the driver using Device Manager and then having it search online for an new driver. Tonight I am going to have it search the extracted folder for a more recent driver since I think it installed and the newest is

There are a lot of people having issues installing Nvidea drivers on a Windows 10 PC.

One of the first things I would suggest if you haven't already, is to update your UEFI/BIOS on the device. Many many many issues with Windows 8+ are due to Motherboard issues that have been patched, but patches not applied (since most still tend to ignore BIOS/UEFI updates most of the time). The UEFI/BIOS is *essential* in Windows 8+, because the OS interfaces directly with the hardware now, so any issue at the hardware level is severely amplified compared to how it was pre-8 when you had 2 communication layers between the OS and the hardware (now there is typically just 1, and oftentimes it is bypassed).

I would suggest updating UEFI/BIOS first, then reinstall the Intel Integrated drivers (you can have them loaded with the Nvidia drivers just fine, just only one will actually operate at a time most of the time). Windows and the hardware have gotten quite a bit smarter, so your machine will utilize certain functions from either/both graphical solutions as applicable so long as everything is properly installed. Once you have all the most up-to-date drivers, firmware, and UEFI/BIOS installed, you should be set. :)

So rather embarrassingly discovered last night that the problem was with the mini DP to HDMI cable. When the PC's were ordered they did no order cables with them.  I had a cable (brand new in it's packaging) in my supplies cupboard and used that. Seeing that I only had one cable I used with both PC's. Hence the same problem on both.

I am still really confused as to what exactly was going on and why this would happen. The cable worked % until the Nvidia drivers gets installed and then signal gets lost.

Damn frustrating as it cost me almost 3 days

Selfstudy is an IT service provider.

Have you tried manually disabling the on-board video card on the Motherboard ? I have had that conflict with video driver installs. Make sure video out is on the card , and not on the mainboard video out. You can't pass them thru.

Why not just use the GeForce Experience app to auto detect the drivers?

I would try installing just the driver to bypass the installer. If it's freezing like you describe though, that doesn't sound right in itself, it'll be choppy scrolling through web pages for example but it shouldn't lock up. Any BIOS updates for the mobo? I had an older build that caused stuttering in 3D until a BIOS fix resolved it.

Have you tried forcing other display drivers to uninstall first? Try running DDU www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar to uninstall any previously installed drivers and then reboot before trying to install.

Sorry must have missed seeing it in the post because of that. 

I would recommend trying to use the device manager to uninstall the driver like others have stated, and then try to install it from GeForce Experience to get the latest drivers. If it fails it's easy to roll back via device manager, at that point you would probably just have to wait for a new driver release.

64bit or 32bit?

In Device Manager does it see an unknown video card?

I agree with installing the driver using Device Manager, but my guess is that waiting for a new driver to be release is just a waste of time. You will get the same error on old drivers and I have also been getting the error for months so I don't think a new driver from nVidia is going to come and resolve this issue.

Unless you have dealt with this issue it is hard for you to comprehend how hard and frustrating it is to resolve.

It's Windows 10 and he is installing a gaming card so I would guess it is safe to assume it's 64bit.

Well I won't assume anything. Is Windows 10 64bit or 32bit? Did you download the proper driver?

Did you try installing an older version of the NVIDIA driver?

Does the video card fan turn on?

Does the video card show up in the BIOS?
