I've been dabbling with Ableton Live, and just recently found out that I can't have both open at the same www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar one gets to output audio. I'm finding older posts about using ASIO4ALL drivers, but I'm not sure if I can use ASIO4ALL with a www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar it is the sound card and is using the default windows audio driver, and from what I'm reading Serato is picky when it comes to what driver you use for a controller? Most of the info on this is old so I'm probably confusing myself here.

How can I get both Serato and Ableton to output?

Am I the only one frustrated with all of your impatience? I do want to keep this positive, but you are acting like you paid for this software update. This is a FREE update for a controller that wasn’t released for use with this software. If you are REALLY that upset about it, make the mapping yourselves. Seriously, I know there are features it would be nice to have, but Pioneer did some unconventional things with the DDJ SB3 from a midi implementation perspective and it takes time to add and test these features.

So what if you don’t have VU meters and so what if you have to be a little more creative with how you use your cue mix? If you have a problem. Go buy a controller that already works with DJay, and stop asking a company to do more work, for free, faster. And if you are seriously THAT incapable of making a mapping that works for now, I will start charging for my bare-bones mapping (seriously took me less than an hour to make) and a video of how it works. Hey Matthew I appreciate your input but you also need to be to other peoples opinions and www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar you this might no be a big deal but for others maybe this is their income.

Part of buying from a seller is also trusting them that they will take care of you in any support. DDJ-SB3 was release almost three months ago and still no update, as a consumer is frustrating therefore we have the right to ask and complaint if our demand is not being met on www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar the software we bought was free then I agree with you we should not be whining about it.

So Please be respectful to others opinion and complaints because they have the right as a buyer and so do I. I will always offer respect to everyone, until they prove to be ungrateful and disrespectful themselves.

DJay doesn’t HAVE to support any controller that comes out after this point. You should be grateful for the fact that they are saying they WILL support it. And, if you are making business decisions that rely on software to work with hardware it doesn’t work with, you are making BAD business decisions. I also rely on DJing to make a living, but I don’t blame the software company for incompatibility with another company’s hardware when I’m not paying them anything more to support it. I hope they charge you for the DDJSB3 add-on compatibility so we can hear you further complain about something that SHOULD be free. Look up in this forum at some of the things being said about the development team and tell me they are not disrespectful.

I hope you all grow up and realize what is happening here. Let’s look at the bigger picture, be grateful for the amazing work they’ve done on DJay already and be excited about future updates. Plus, if ANY of you think that complaining and whining and telling people to go buy Serato when it’s on sale (Larry) on the Algoriddim forum is going to HELP them come out with this update (which again, they are also doing at no cost to you) any sooner. Then you are absolutely delusional. Put your patience pants on and wait for your free stuff you entitled, misguided, trolls. And I realize this has gotten WAY out of hand, but I am so sick and tired of software engineers getting the short end of the “thankless job” stick when ALL they hear is complaints. So for once, before this comment gets removed, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK, ALGORIDDIM!!!

YOUR SOFTWARE IS EXCELLENT AND IM SO EXCITED TO BE A CUSTOMER OF YOURS!!!!! This is pure entertainment. You guys sounds pationate about this little challenge we all have here. Good diolauge or rather crucial conversations.

With out passion there is no success. Well it’s a waiting game for he update To be fare though not all have been disrespectful to the developers. Assuming most people paid $50 ish for the program it’s a given updates are expected for the app. No different than any other application. Though yes the sb3 was designed for serato lite it’s with fair expectations that dj pro has native mapping available.

The whole point being in business is stay in business. With that being said a business based off of true leadership will no only communicate but expeditiously Execute motion not only to maintain but attract new business. So it’s only fair people ask and ask constantly about this updates minus the ignorance. Am I the only one frustrated with all of your impatience? Sharing MIDI mappings You can share and exchange your custom MIDI mappings with other djay users by sending the respective mapping file: To share a mapping file: Select 'Edit Configurations.'

From the 'MIDI Configuration' menu at the top of the MIDI configuration window. Select the configuration you want to share from the list. Select 'Show in Finder' from the 'Options' menu. From there, you can e.g. Send the mapping file via email or save it on a USB stick.

I think the takeaway is that Algoriddim has been, is and always will be a Mac-first company. Djay, and djay 2 and djay Pro were around for Macs for years before they decided to develop for Windows. Its where they started. Years ago, the Apple store carried a djay specific controller in all their locations.

At the time it was the only controller they supported. It takes time to code controllers to be class compliant. Not to mention dealing with the manufacturer to get licensing rights, etc. Most manufacturers do an inordinate amount of testing before giving the thumbs up to the public. By all means, if you want to blaze your own trail and custom MIDI map through trial and error any controller you'd like, its your option. As you can see by the earlier posts. Its time consuming, to say the least.

I do have a SB2, and don't plan on 'upgrading' because the SB3 doesn't seem like an upgrade. Pioneer added some things, but took some key features away that I actually LIKE with my SB2. When algoriddim gets into DVS, or supports the DDJ with the LED screens on jog wheels, I'll be more interested. I am a big djay Pro fan - but not about to upgrade to djay Pro 2 until the menu list view problem is fixed. Takes up way too much screen real estate for my tastes. I am on Djay Pro for Windows

I see that the last update for the windows version was less than a month ago which makes me anticipate that it will be quite a long while until the SB3 is supported (just going off of the frequency of how often they update the windows version historically). Few questions I have are: Would the exported mapping from a working mac-sb3 mapping work for importing into windows (I know that its unlikely), or does anyone have a mostly working version of the mapping for windows at all? (I am ok with missing out on the scratch and advanced hard to map features for now) I saw the above screenshots of Daniel's mappings but I believe those are likely for a Mac and also I really would want to be able to import that file if possible. Could anyone help me out? I am on Djay Pro for Windows

Could anyone help me out? ^^^Correct ^^^ djay pro 2 has quite a few features that djay pro does not. This is just one more of them is all.

I am sure you could take the mapping for the SB3 from DP2 and import as is into DP with Mac and I am not sure this is the case with windows. The experience may fall short in this sense but in all fairness this is not exclusive to djay or even Algoriddim.

Truth be told they have much more to lose from the Mac end then windows and this may contribute to the slower development times etc. To save myself some reading had ANYONE here tried mapping the SB3 to windows (DP1 obviously) and if so had anyone had any success. To add to this where is djay pro at (function wise) with MIDI mapping overall with windows. IF anyone here has had success with mapping on the windows side at all this should be no issue. If you have a SB2 or SB the mapping should be very similar if not identical and to add to this any DDJ-S/DDJ-R (SX, SZ, SR etc) can work with very little modifying and renaming etc. I am usually able to provide more hep but if I am being honest I don’t spend much time playing with windows regarding dj or music apps.

I use windows for just about everything but when it comes to my business or craft I need the function, support and capabilities of Mac.
