How to Save a PDF to Open at %
When opening a PDF file, the document is displayed according to the settings that the user has specified in the reader program. This may cause you to constantly alter the view size when you are opening business documents such as contracts or business proposals. If you prefer that a PDF opens at the percent magnification level, regardless of what the settings for the reader are, the change must be made with the software used to create the PDF. Once you have set the initial view size and saved it with the PDF, it overrides the user settings.

Launch Adobe Acrobat and open the file that you want to save with the altered initial view settings.

Click "File" and select "Properties." Click the "Initial View" tab and select "%" from the Magnification drop-down menu.

Click "OK" and click the "Save File" icon at the top of the screen. The PDF will now display at percent magnification when opened regardless of the reader settings.
Foxit PhantomPDF Business

Download and install Foxit PhantomPDF Business (see Resources), and launch the software.

Select the "File" menu, click "Open" and select the PDF document that you want to alter.

Select the "File" menu, click Properties" and click the "Initial View" tab.

- Some PDF printer programs also enable you to set the initial view size, but it can only be done before the document is saved as a PDF. Select "Print Settings" for your document and click the "PDF Properties" tab. If the driver you are using supports the feature, select "%" from the Zoom drop-down menu.
