Built-in Webcams will usually have a custom utility/driver installed by the computer manufacturer.

It's possible that this utility may have been lost when you upgraded.

Check with HP to download/install the driver for your computer model.

Not working where?   Try using Skype or WL Messenger?   They both have some built-in troubleshooting that may help.

FWIW I have an HP tx2 and I have done nothing special to make my webcam work in WL Messenger.   Supposedly it is working in W8 Messenger too (when I turn it on via its Win-I Permissions toggle) but how would I know?   ;  }
