How to Sync Google Calendar for Windows
You can download Google’s Calendar Sync application to sync events created in your Outlook calendar to your Google calendar. It helps to define one calendar as a main calendar, reserving this space for business meetings and work related events while keeping a separate calendar for your personal life. Using this application, you can see both of your calendars from one convenient space. Download the application and begin syncing your calendars with two-way syncing.

Download Google’s Calendar Sync program from the Google website (see link in Resources). Once the program has downloaded, double-click on it from your completed downloads if it does not open automatically and click “Ok” to confirm that you are opening an executable file. After you have finished reading the Terms of Service, click “I Agree.”

Enter your email address and password into the Google Calendar Sync application. You will be asked to select the kind of sync you wish to perform; select "2-way" to sync your Google and Outlook calendars. You can also set how many minutes must pass before a sync is performed by entering a number in the box at the bottom of the Calendar Sync application. When you have finished setting up your sync, click the “Save” button.

Access the Google Calendar Sync application from your desktop’s tray icon to review or change any settings. Right-click on the icon and select “Options.”

Tips
- You Calendar Sync icon actively changes its appearance depending on its state. When syncing events, your icon will feature an up and down arrow over it. When not syncing, the icon will have a small red spot on the top right of it.
- If you wish to only sync your Google calendar to your Outlook calendar, or vice versa, use the one-way sync option. If you are syncing your Google calendar, you will not see changes made to your Outlook calendar, and the same goes for syncing your Outlook calendar. Changes made to your Google calendar will not be reflected in Outlook during a one-way sync.
Warnings
- Google Calendar Sync is currently compatible with Outlook versions , and It only supports Windows XP (not bit), Windows Vista and Windows 7.
- Do not use third-party calendar syncing applications with Google Calendar Sync.
- Google only syncs pop-up event reminders between your Outlook and Google calendars, as this is the only format supported by both applications.
