Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.
Two points.
1. How are you trying to save them from the email? You should be able to right-click the jpg and use Save As. If you double-click they will open in the default program.
2. In order to change the default program for jpgs you need to have another program installed that can open/edit them. If you right-click on one stored in a folder and select open with, the computer will show you all the programs it thinks can edit or display the file and you can select the appropriate one. If you select choose another app you can select the appropriate program and then tick the box to make it the default.
