Download driver lenovo 3550 - opinion obvious
Hi All
I'm about to upgrade my ESXI hosts from to Lenovo/IBM don't do custom image for this model so I will have to use Vmware iso and then update the drivers What's the best way to determine which drivers need to be downloaded separately? I'm a bit confused on what is included in the generic Vmware iso and what's not.
thanks

Well, the easy answers is you'd have to download drivers for anything that didn't work.
Typically, that would be things like the network card or the RAID card
Are you using this for production? I can't find it on the HCL for , that would be why there's no custom image. www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar?deviceCategory=server&details=1&pa
yes in production
HCL says it's supported: www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar?deviceCategory=server&productid=&
My impression is that Lenovo can't be bothered with x M4 series anymore so they won't develop an image they have it for M5.
Ah, my mistake, I searched for Lenovo.
I grabbed the wrong area of the screen.. but yeah, someone else has already posted a link to the area showing it's supported.
I know it's supported, I'm not sure which drivers are needed though. I hoped someone had done it already so would give me some clues.
I managed to find Intel i drivers for NICs so far.
I'd be surprised if the custom IBM or Lenovo ESXi install didn't have everything you need in it.
Beyond that I don't know which drivers you need.
Just an update in case someone else has a similar problem - there is a software from Lenovo called Lenovo XClarity Essentials Bootable Media Creator that downloads and creates a bootable image with all latest firmware and drivers for the chosen server model: www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar
I have searched both Lenovo and IBM Fix Central for hours before and it's annoying how they don't make it more obvious that there is a tool for updating the drivers etc.
Haven't tested it yet but this will be a good start.
Didn't you want drivers for ESXi?
This list doesn't indicate it's helpful for ESXi. You don't need the drivers for the VMs, they use the integration tools from the Hypervisor instead.
