You can install the Outlook add in directly from the CounselLinkHome page, as described below.

• Installation – The add-in program adds a new panel to Outlook and a new settings tool bar. This file needs to be installed on each user’s computer.

About Technical Details

• Data displayed in the panels is updated every 15 minutes automatically.

• When clicking a link in any pane a new search is performed. The data displayed in CounselLink is not an older "cached" search.

Removing Older Versions of the Add-in

If you are using an older version of the add-in, and you want to install the new version, you must first remove (uninstall) the older version.

NOTE You can continue to use the older version of the add-in, if desired. However, it will not contain the newer versions enhanced functionality. Older versions of the add-in may also not be supported in newer versions of Outlook.

The older add-in can be removed using the standard Windows uninstall process. For more information, refer to one of the following websites, based on your current operating system:

Installing the Add-in

The installation file for the add-in can be found on your CounselLink home page. Once downloaded to your local computer, you can execute the installation file and use the installation wizard to quickly install the add-in.

1. If you are using an older version of the add-in, verify that you have removed it as described in Removing Older Versions of the Add-inabove. This step is necessary to guarantee that the new add-in is fully functional.
2. Log in to CounselLink.

3. On the Home page, locate the CounselLink Add-in for Outlook link in the Profiles panel.

   

4. Click the link.

   The CounselLink Add-In for Outlook screen appears.

   

5. From the Outlook Version drop-down list, select the version of Outlook you are using.

6. Click Download.

   The file is downloaded to your computer. This download method will vary based on your web browser.

7. Execute the downloaded file.

   Depending on your Outlook version, this file will either be a single, executable file or a group of files packaged in a .zip file.

   The installation wizard for the Outlook Add-In appears showing the Welcome screen.

   

8. Click Next.
9. Click the I&#;accept the terms in the license agreement option, and click Next.
10. Review the settings, and click Install.

11. Click Finish.

    The installation is complete, and the installation wizard closes.

12. Close and reopen Outlook.
13. Proceed to Using the Outlook Add-in.
