Cant open pdf downloads in chrome for samsung galaxy

There are three ways to open PDFs with the Texthelp PDF Reader:

• Open from Google Drive
• Open from web pages
• Open from your hard drive

Open from Google Drive 

To open a PDF from Google Drive, right-click on a PDF and choose Open with and choose Read&Write for Google Chrome™

Set Texthelp PDF Reader to open PDFs by default

To set the Texthelp PDF Reader as the default app to open files in Google Drive check the following:

1.  Click the Settings gear in Google Drive under your profile image
2. Go to Settings

1. Under Manage Apps, scroll down to Texthelp PDF Reader and tick Use by default

Note: If you do not want the Texthelp PDF Reader to be the default, you can still open a PDF with the Texthelp PDF Reader in Google Drive; Right click on the PDF file name and choose Open with and then select Read&Write for Google Chrome™.

Open PDFs from web pages

To open a PDF from the web, just click the link to the PDF and it will automatically open in the Texthelp PDF Reader.

Note: The Texthelp PDF Reader must be set to be used by default as shown in the above step: Set Texthelp PDF Reader to open PDFs by default

Open PDFs from Files

You can also open a PDF from a local drive (i.e. on your Desktop, File Explorer or Finder) by right-clicking on the PDF and choosing Open with > Google Chrome

Allow Access to File URLs

You can also drag a PDF from File Explorer or Finder onto a new tab in Chrome. Note that for this to work, right click on the Texthelp PDF Reader icon to the right of the Chrome address bar

Then from the menu, select Options

In the Options menu tick the Open Web PDFs box

Then click the X to close the screen

PDFs will then open with the Texthelp PDF Reader toolbar

My PDFs don’t open with the Texthelp PDF Reader

PDFs Won’t Open After Installing the Texthelp PDF Reader

If PDFs won’t open after installing the Texthelp PDF Reader please check the following:

In the Chrome Omnibox (address bar) check on the right end to see if the Chrome pop-up blocker is enabled:

When you first open a PDF the message below will appear briefly

Followed by a notification that a pop-up was blocked

To allow pop-ups for the Texthelp PDF Reader, click the pop-up warning icon and select Always allow pop-ups from www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar

You can then refresh the page (F5) or click the refresh button to the left of the address bar

If you see the screen below and nothing happens with you click Google Sign In

The permissions window Chrome requires is open in a new tab and may be behind the screen your PDF is open with. Check your open tabls to locate the permissions screen.

Click Allow to grant access

PDFs Don't Open from Web Pages

First, check to make sure the PDF Reader is active by following the steps above in Set Texthelp PDF Reader to open PDFs by default

For this to work, right click on the Texthelp PDF Reader icon and click Options 

Then check the box that says Open Web PDFs.

PDFs will then open with the Texthelp PDF Reader toolbar
