I paid for this app and expected it to actually sync what's already played and what's not regardless of device used. I listen to a podcast on my phone on the way to work. Turn on my PC and it says it's "unplayed". Also, I shouldn't have to initiate sync manually (upload/download). It should do it periodically or on load or at least let me control the settings for it.

Even if you limit the number of downloads (per podcast), it still downloads ALL of them (if you click the Download button in the main page for the given podcast). It also forgets your playlist between sessions. Glitchy in places. I wish I had waited a bit before jumping on this.

Finally a really great podcast app that is also UWP! Please add support for per-episode artwork and show notes and I'll never look back!

Nice layout and it works without crashing upon opening. Had to give it a 3 star because the podcast I subscribe to on the installed podcasts app for W10M will play just fine, but on this app it does not. It lists its run time as , not sure why though.

This is an update after a months of using the app. I absolutely love it. The only feature that I would love to have is automatic sync between devices There are some cases when a freshly downloaded file doesn't want to start but starting another one before it makes it work Keep up the good work! Let me known if you want details about the issue.

Used Grover Podcast and one feature was missing was WP app. Seen you made UAP version, so decided to buy this. Would love if there was a sync client so I can switch easily from PC to Phone and continue listening to same place.

I love the app so far, I wish the app synced the subscribed podcast list, settings and listen status automatically.

I love how clean the design is an how nice it performs. Hopefully all windows 10 mobile apps will be as nice as this one. One feature request for the developer: Can you please add a scroll to top button on the episodes screen? Or is there any hidden feature in Windows 10 Mobile that can do that? (like taping on the status bar on iOS). I follow podcasts with a lot of episodes and scrolling back to top is painful. Thank you.

Love it so much. The only two features I would still like to see are: - Ability to disable the Live Tile. - Ability to pin podcasts. (The only feature from Pocket Casts that I miss.) And the sorting links need to be moved off the podcast logo screen. Blue links on dark backgrounds are hard to see. You can use Pop Culture Happy Hour as a reference.

Updated review: The developer reached out and lo and behold, an update fixed the issue the same night. This app has it all: UWP, playlists, in app volume control, W10 design, multi-select, auto download, import/export to OneDrive, fast/slow play, custom RR/FF, skip fwd/back, everything I want in a podcast out. I've tried them all and this is far and away the best. Just need to clear up playback. Maybe put the number for FF and RW under the control? Initial review: Trying to subscribe to many podcasts just give me an error even though it finds them in the store: Grover Message Not possible to load feed {0}. I really want to like this app. Fix the sub problems and I'll revisit my review.

This app sets a standard on how universal Windows 10 apps should be made. It is such a smooth experience from start to finish. Clean and simple, it makes listening to podcasts a religion that you want to worship. I would love to pay the developer even more than the $3 it costs. The effort is to teach to app developers in general. Keep up the great work. Microsoft, buy this app and make it the official Podcast app for Windows The current official app is a disgrace and old to say the least. Well done; well done.

Very responsive in Windows Mobile Lists do not refresh correctly after marking as playedcan't remove episodes from lists. "Unplayed" filter not workingjust blank, though there are many unplayed. Can't find Settings on mobile for Dark Theme. Would've liked to seen x or 2x Playback option for the expensive price. Podcast Lounge or native Windows 10 Mobile pod catcher still better.

This is handsdown my favorite podcast app I have used, and I have used a lot. Everything is simple and easy to use and you don't have to go hunting for options and other features. Everything is simple and easy to use. I highly recommend this app!

Dev, not sure if it's a problem with your app, but on Bluetooth, it often cuts off, but shows still playing over my Bluetooth car audio system.

The Microsoft podcast app became horribly buggy I'm now so glad it did. Bought this- the best $3 I've spent in a while. App works really well on my Lumia xl.

I have this installed on PC and two WM devices. All three were synced a couple days ago, now they all show different lists of subscriptions, with PC missing EVERYTHING. WTF.

I recommend this app! But to the developer: PLEASE add Bluetooth support to the skip forward/back control.

I finally switched to Grover Pro recently and I couldn't be happier. The functionality and aesthetics are top notch. The sync between mobile and desktop devices is smooth and the interface is responsive and pretty to look at. I had only one minor issue with the app so far but it was quickly resolved. The customer service was quick, responsive, and tremendously helpful. I really couldn't recommend it more.

Where are the instructions? A list of played podcasts all of a sudden show up as unplayed. A list of manually queued up podcasts all of a sudden disappear and are replaced with a single podcast that I just clicked on. Played podcasts remain in queue even though I believe I have set the function to remove them. Why are so many already played podcasts still showing in www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar this one of those applications considered to be "intuitive" to use, which to me means just kept clicking stuff until you can finally unlock the secret work flows? I spend hours managing this application to get just what I want to play to play just when I want it to www.cronistalascolonias.com.armes, the podcasts in play list play consecutively, sometimes not. Sometimes podcasts played on the phone don't synch and show played on the www.cronistalascolonias.com.ar on. It's This should be an elegant application, flawless in execution. Can't believe how many times Microsoft used the word "love" in the second day keynote at Build.

I use this app almost every day. I have a commute of nearly an hour each way to work and I mostly listen to podcasts on my drive. Grover Pro does a great job of checking and downloading new episodes. I like that I can adjust the playback speed to the x graduation. Depending on who is talking, that level of adjustment is very welcome. A suggestion for an upgrade would be the ability to set different playback speeds for each episode in a playlist.I like the easy ability to reorder my playlist. I like the various filtering options for the individual series. I like that it automatically keeps a remote record of my lists in the event that I get a new phone or have to reinstall the app. I've only had to do that once, when I got a new phone. It wasn't perfect, but it worked well enough that I didn't have to setup everything again.I discovered this app about a year ago. I was looking for a better podcast app. It definitely lives up to that expectation.

Before being told about Grover, I was using Microsoft's default Podcasts app in Windows 10 Mobile. I've used Grover Pro for almost a full calendar year, and have enjoy the experience 95%+ of the time. The only problem I've ever had is, when using OneDrive to sync my subscriptions, I will not have synced a new podcast up, and it will download the old list, and unsubscribe me from that new podcast (easily remedied, but wanted to share that that can be a problem). Grover scales perfectly across many screen sizes, looking great and being usable on my inch Lumia all the way up to my inch desktop monitor in fullscreen mode. The design matches the "old" Groove Music, pre-Creators Update, but still looks and functions perfectly. Being able to set auto-check intervals, and ahve it auto-download the latest new episode in the background is great. The only thing it can't do (yet?) is sync listening progress across devices using the same Microsoft and OneDrive account.

This seems like a good app, and it was recommended to me. I figured that if it was a paid app it wouldn't crash as much as the the free podcasting apps. Unfortunately I've been using it for a day and already im constantly getting a "can't connect to the server, please check your internet connection" error that crashes the app. Im getting this error with a full WiFi connection and LTE if I turn the internet off. Please fix this if you want me to change my review. I only paid for this app because I don't want to have to constantly be closing and reopening the app or constantly restarting my phone all together.

Landscape mode supported! Supports RSS feeds, smooth interface, has cloud sync support, and looks great. Great job! Thanks for supporting Windows Phone!

Grover Pro, while not perfect, is as good of a Podcasting experience as I've ever had. I can completely keep track of all my favorite Podcasts and not lose my place. I get notifications of new episodes and they download automatically. The interface is intuitive and friendly. It gets better with every update and has an attention to detail that few apps seem to have. My only complaints, and they are minor, is that the app will occasionally crash and sometimes it forgets my place in the middle of listening to an episode.

I've been using Podcast Lounge, which is another great app but unfortunately it's not UWP app and works only on mobile. I've tried Grover a while back and didn't care for it, but Grover Pro is fantastic and has just about everything I want in a podcast app. My favorite feature is the cross-device sync via OneDrive. It syncs your subscriptions and progress. My favorite is how it syncs your playlist (now playing) so if I'm listening to a podcast on my phone, when I open the app on my computer, it shows where I left off and I just have to hit the play button. It does have to sync to OneDrive first, minimum interval for auto-sync is 15 min. A nice addition would be to auto sync whenever the podcast is paused.I was able to find all the podcasts I searched for and the app is pretty stable. It even works on the Xbox One. Well worth the $4.

I really like this app, but here are my feature requests:* Pause/Play does not work reliably from the lock screen. It has to be clicked at least twice.* I wish the play button was bigger on the enlarged play screen.* I wish it had a bookmark feature so I could come back to interesting sections of a podcast.* I wish I could include the time position of a podcast when sharing so it would start playing at that point.* OneDrive syncing is great, but I wish it worked with more personal cloud services such as OwnCloud or WebDev.* Continuum support would be wonderful (The more I use Continuum mode, the more like it.)

This is a nice easy, beautiful, and feature rich podcasting app. BUT, it seems to lock up my phone and make it crash 50% of the time when downloading new episodes. I know it's this app because this is the only time it happens.

This is the best podcast app I've used, and I've banged my head up against quite a few. If you're looking for a worthy podcasting option, this is it. My one nitpick: There should be a way to play all the unplayed episodes from a given podcast with one tap. Right now, it takes 5.

Love, love, love this app!! Worth every penny. The sharing feature is great and the playback timer is perfect for listening while dozing off without letting it play all night. Everything else just works--cloud sync of subscriptions, streaming and download, now playing list, all handled really well and really simply. Thanks so much for this gem!!!!

Well rounded and love the sync feature.
