Determine which version of Lightroom you are using.
The version of Lightroom you have will determine the way you install your presets.

How to install presets & profiles on LIGHTROOM OR NEWER
With the Creative Cloud Photography plan from Adobe (including Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic CC, & Photoshop) you can now easily import presets or profiles.
1. Navigate to the Develop module in the Lightroom app.
2. In the Presets panel, click the plus (+) icon at the upper-right corner and choose ‘Import Presets’ from the menu. PLEASE NOTE, you will only be able to click the plus (+) icon if you have images loaded in the Develop module.
3. In the import dialog that appears, select the downloaded ZIP file. Please note, this needs to be the original ZIP file. Some browsers will automatically uncompress this ZIP file, but it needs to be a ZIP to install correctly. If your browser has extracted the folder automatically from the zip (Safari on Mac does this), you may need to right-click and recompress it into a ZIP, or download the file with a different browser.
That’s it! Once you have added the ZIP file, it will automatically extract the presets into the Develop module for you. They will also now be available in Photoshop ACR if you want to use your presets & profiles there.

How to install presets IN ADOBE LIGHTROOM STANDALONE VERSIONS , 6, 5, & 4 (Pre versions of Lightroom)
Please note: If you are using LR versions (on the Adobe subscription plan), it is recommended that you do the FREE upgrade, and follow the installation method #1 listed above.
1) Unzip the preset files.
2) Locate the Develop Presets folder.
You can easily find this In Lightroom.
On a PC go to ‘Edit’ in the menu, then ‘Preferences’ (on a Mac select the ‘Lightroom’ menu, then ‘Preferences’).
Select the 'Presets' tab then select 'Show Lightroom Presets Folder’.
Select the ‘Lightroom’ folder then within there, the 'Develop Presets’ folder.
3) Drag the Preset folder(s) which are found in the lrtemplate folder from your downloaded ZIP file into the 'Develop Preset' folder on you system. Keep them in their individual folders so they remain organized.
4) Restart Lightroom.

How to install ACR presets in photoshop
Please note, if you install the XMP presets/profiles in Lightroom , they will automatically be installed for ACR as well.
Otherwise, follow these steps to install for ACR only:
Mac: Users>YOUR NAME>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Camera Raw> Settings
Windows: Application Data>Adobe>Camera Raw>Settings OR C: Users-[user name]>AppData>Roaming>Adobe>Camera Raw>Settings
Copy and paste the .xmp presets into the Settings Folder.
Please note, only paste the .xmp files (not folders) into the setting folder, as ACR does not recognize folders.Please note, if you are using a Mac and cannot locate the Settings folder, try this: go to Finder and select Go > Go to Folder from the menu. Then copy and paste this in the box: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings
